Gustavo Dudamel to tour Spain with the National Youth Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela

Following a momentous year celebrating the 50th anniversary of El Sistema and the release of the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra's first GRAMMY®-nominated recording Boléro on the Platoon label, Dudamel will tour Spain with the National Youth Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela in July 2026. Across July 6, 7, 8, 10, and 11, Dudamel and the orchestra will visit Zaragoza, Barcelona, Madrid, Alicante, and Valencia, performing Shostakovich's Symphony No. 7, Leningrad. Dudamel last performed with the National Youth Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela during Carnegie Hall's World Orchestra Week in the summer of 2024 to widespread acclaim. These international activities are the embodiment of Jose Antonio Abreu's vision for El Sistema as a global movement that offers every child dignity, beauty, and the chance to be heard.
